Description
This tapestry is a coffee-colored dip-dyed version, hand-woven from thick cotton rope. The dip-dyeing process causes the cotton rope to gradually transition from light to dark coffee color from top to bottom, with the color being lightest near the top and darkest at the bottom. The weaving pattern is a simple horizontal wavy line, with the undulating waves achieved by varying the number of knots in each row. The cotton rope is approximately 5 mm in diameter, giving the tapestry a substantial feel after weaving. A natural tree branch serves as a hanging rod at the top, with a diameter of approximately 2.5 cm and a length cut to fit the tapestry’s width, preserving the original bark texture. It is suitable for hanging on the main wall of the living room or above the bed. Hemp rope loops are attached to both ends of the branch. During weaving, the ends of each cotton rope are hidden on the back, resulting in a neat front.
