Description
This tapestry uses black and white cotton rope with a pattern of multiple nested diamonds. The diamonds are outlined with thicker cotton rope and filled with finer cotton rope, creating a contrasting texture. The weaving technique primarily uses square knots and diagonal knots, with the four sharp corners of the diamonds kept sharp by tightening the loops. All loose threads on the back of the tapestry are concealed within the knots, resulting in a neat front. Four reinforcing hanging loops are sewn at the top for even weight distribution. It can be used on children’s room walls, the outside of dormitory bed curtains, or the side wall of a living room sofa. The black cotton rope is environmentally friendly dyed; slight lint may appear when first hung, which is normal. The high weave density makes the tapestry quite thick and resistant to wrinkles. The bottom tassels are black and white and approximately 10 cm long.
