Description
The second tapestry measures 144.8 cm wide and 88.9 cm high. This is a large tie-dye woven tapestry. The cotton ropes are first hand-tied to create irregular wavy patterns in a blue-green gradient, then woven with flat knots. The weave density is low, with large gaps between the knots, allowing for good light transmission. The tapestry edges lack tassels; the ropes are simply cut straight to the edge. During the tie-dyeing process, the binding position of each bundle of cotton rope varies, resulting in different pattern distributions for each product. The cotton rope is treated to prevent mildew, making it suitable for use in humid southern regions. Daily cleaning can be done by gently vacuuming with a wide nozzle.
